      A documentary archive of sound recordings (around 15,000 hours), a music archive, modern and traditional (almost 8,000 hours), and 6,000 film reels and cassettes.

    • Holdings:

      The Service is divided into a sound archive, a video archive, and written documentation. The sound archive consists of informational productions (announcements, interviews, speeches) and other broadcasts, many of which are cultural (stories and legends, oral literature). The sound archive contains material back to the 1960's and even some recordings from 1957 related to the campaigns for national independence. The video archive preserves reels and videocassettes in U-MATIC, BETA, and VHS produced or received by the Office. Subdivided into 3 categories, this section includes televized news, broadcasts, other programming, and music. Written documentation includes monographs, reference books, press files, and other files, some of which include grey literature dealing with administrative, economic, and sociocultural aspects of our organization and country.
