MuseuMAfricA is a major history and cultural history museum, with collections of national importance in historical drawings, paintings and photographs, ethnology, Cape silver, stamps, coins and medals, rock art, and geology. Displays cover the prehistory and social history of Johannesburg, and the longest ever treason trial, 1956-1961. <p> Branches in the main building are the Museum of South African Rock Art, the Bensusan Museum of Photography, and the Geological Museum. Outlying branches are the James Hall Museum of Transport, the Bernberg Fashion Museum, and the George Harrison Park, site of the discovery of gold.
