• Holdings:

  The Africana/Special Collection comprises 375 meters of books and pamphlets on various African related topics, 27 meters of manuscripts and archives,82 meters of theses and dissertations completed at Makerere for the last 75 years. Most of the Archives date from late 19th century, and include the Church Missionary Society archives and the personal papers of outstanding Ugandans. There is also a photograph collection. The medical library contains a special collection of Sir Albert Cook's personal library, foremost being the Mengo Hospital archives dating from 1897.
