The museum had (before the recent pillaging) a collection of 807 pieces. The ethnographic objects from Nkankata currently include about 5,000 objects. -

The museum collection was composed of paintings on canvas and ethnographic objects related to everyday life in a rural environment. The collection of stored objects, by contrast is composed of ritual objects, statuettes, old currency, clay pots, beads, blankets, ritual shields.
